The Management Skills Workshop (MSW) comprises five sessions which prepares you to improve your life, your job, your team, and your company. It equips you to apply the most essential and effective tools developed from TOC. TOC was used to determine the 'What to change,' 'What to change to?' and 'How to change' that form the basis of MSW.

MSW is for you if:

YOU want to learn the Thinking Process Skills

  • You have ambitious Goals to achieve.
  • You sometimes see others as threats or blocking what you want or need.
  • You have been to team and leadership training, but have trouble applying what you thought you learned.
  • You have problems, concerns, or issues that seem to only have 'Win-lose' or even 'Lose-lose' solutions.
  • You've heard about 'win-win' from Covey or negotiating training, but don't have a way to really get there.

MSW teaches four of the six Thinking Process tools: The Evaporating Cloud, Negative Branch, Prerequisite Tree, and Transition Tree. MSW demonstrates Current Reality Trees and Future Reality Trees.

 


MSW fills an essential role in implementing TOC in your company or life.

MSW teaches you to find and apply 'win-win' solutions to any problem, and to lead yourself and your team to achieve ambitious goals. The Goldratt institute developed MSW as the way to cause change in an organization. The following summary Prerequisite Tree demonstrates the logic of MSW. Read the logic, "In order have "entity at head of arrow," we must have "Entity at tail of arrow."

MSW is available in dedicated classes if you have at least ten people, or in open classes. If you have one or more people interested, or would just like to know more, please contact us. We will arrange something that meets your needs.

The five days of MSW are:

Session 1: Conflict Resolutions.

Session 2: Empowerment.

Session 3: Conflict Resolution.

Session 4: Constructive criticism.

Session 5: Teambuilding.

Session 6 (On day five, or a following day 6): EFFECTING CHANGE: Review of your success in applying all of the tools, and consulting assistance to help you mature your skills. You will leave with a time sequenced 'effects' plan and initial action steps to improve your skills and resolve the major concerns facing you.

Eli Goldratt notes, in "My Saga to Improve Production,"

"I think that everybody would agree that the biggest obstacle to
successful implementation is to overcome the resistance to
change. The key is in knowing how to steer the dynamic of the
interaction between people with different agendas and different
levels of understanding.


For the tough cases I found a generic method that, in our
experience, always works, but its translation to a specific
plant requires a thorough knowledge of how to properly use the
negative branches, the prerequisite tree and the transition tree
of the thinking processes. Knowledge that I don't yet know how
to satisfactorily teach through books. At least there are more
and more people who have learned how to do it."
