Who invented TOC?

Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, an Israeli with a Ph.D. in physics, invented TOC after running a business that developed manufacturing software. He found that companies that used the software did not make more money. He first published the idea of TOC it in The Goal (Goldratt, 1984).
